The Seminar brings together national and international experts, members of the public and private sector to discuss technologies, concepts of remediation, management brownfields and revitalization of contaminated sites.
The 10th edition of the event will have presentations on 28 and 29/09 and workshops on 30/09.
For 12 years the event has achieved its goal of dissemination of knowledge, networking and exchange of experiences among professionals working in the sector.
The event is the most relevant Seminar in Latin America about remediation, counting with more than 300 people in 2014, a total of 136 organizations present.

It is a primary vehicle for communicating technical data. It provides a good summary of how and where contaminants are expected to move and what impacts such movement may have. Hence, it supplies additional information to explain why a problem is a problem, why it is inconsistent with Corrective Action Results, and, therefore, why a response is anticipated.It can help to establish whether there is a likelihood of imminent and substantial endangerment; justify characterization approaches; and prioritize investigation and remedial resources. It is the practice of demonstrating, in terms of environmental, economic and social indicators, that the benefit of undertaking remediation is greater than its impact and that the optimum remediation solution is selected through the use of a balanced decision-making process. The best solution is remediation that eliminated and /or controls unacceptable risks in a safe and timely manner, and which maximises the overall environmental, social and economic benefits of the remediation work.
